My wife and I were visiting Yemen in February 2010. We loved this beautiful county and met many nice, friendly and honest people. But we met also the bad apple named Mr. K... A... from Sana'a Nights tourist Hotel and Tourist Agency Radfan. This seems to be the same K... who has many good reviews on different blogs. This is our story: Mr. K... spoke very nice to us and promised "all included" services so we paid him 3700 US $ for the 17 days tourist program that include the stay in his Sanaa Nights Hotel. This hotel was very basic and not worth of the money. But the "NIGHTMARES" were happening when many service he promised to us were not provided or were unsatisfactory and unfinished. Our hotels were very cheap 10 $ hotels, including Sanaa Night Hotel. We had to buy our own breakfasts, lunches, dinners ( he promisee all included , but only food on Socotra was included). He provided us only 9 days Socotra tour. We paid him for 11 days. He did not provided 2 days hiking with camels on Socotra . He did not provided English speaking guide during south tour. He did not provided the transportation from airport to Sanaa Nights Hotel and hotel accomodation for our last day/ night . Mr. K... is very good in playing the role of " Dr. Jekyll-Mr. Hyde" character . He can be also very nice / read some reports here/ but he is often manipulating and lying to tourists. We had very bad experience with him, his Sanaa Nights Hotela and Radfan tourist agency . We reported his malpractice to the Yemen Tourist Authorities; also because we heard we were not the only guests cheated in this way. We think Mr. K...'s Dr. Jekyll-Mr. Hyde behaviour and services could be harmful to the image of Yemen tourism and he should not be allowed to do such malpractice. We think saying such malpractice could have been prevented long before it made headlines around the globe. We are waiting for the response from the Yemen Ministry of Tourism and the Yemen tourist police to see if they are efficient in law enforcement.
