Frequently Asked Questions
- How Much? A plan for a trip of 7 days or less is $199. Each additional day is $10.
- Will I have a room with a great view? Maybe/maybe not. We don’t book the rooms for you – you’ll do that on your own. And not every hotel has a great view. We will recommend it if we know of one. AND we’ll tell you how to get one on your own.
- Can you book my flight and room for me? No, we don’t do that. Sorry, but we’re planners, not travel agents. We will make it super easy to do it yourself, though. Just click on the links.
- Is everything guaranteed? No. Things change. Especially things like airline schedules, currency conversions and room rates. Your airline can change your schedule even the day of your flight. Anyone who flies very frequently has had that happen more than once. We’ll do our best to give you everything you need to book your own great trip, as easily as possible. We want you to be happy and to tell all of your friends about us. That’s how businesses succeed.
- Do I need to learn the language? No. English (we’re assuming you speak English, since you’re reading this) is widespread. It isn’t universal, though, so we do suggest that you learn a few rudimentary words and phrases – things like “please” and “thank you”, and “do you speak English”. We’ll give you a short list. It makes you a better traveler and a better citizen of the world (and opens doors for you as well). And when you run out of words, you can usually get by with a phrase book, sign language and a pleasant attitude. We also recommend that you take a phrase book or electronic translator.
- Do you take into consideration my interests, age, disability, gender, etc? We do. If you indicate, for example, that your group is in their 70′s, we won’t point you toward rock climbing. If you say “water sports”, we won’t load you up on museums. And we even recommend vegetarian restaurants for those who forgo meat. But ultimately you will be choosing from our suggestions and you will decide for yourself which you prefer. Please do tell us if youhave physical limitations, such as not being able to climb stairs, which can make a trip much more difficult.
- Will you mail me my trip plan? No. We will post it as a private page on this website – for which you’ll have the url (address) but which is not readily visible to others (and no personal information will be on the page). We’ll leave it up and running until well after your trip has been completed. That way you can access it as you travel. The page will contain all the relevant links as well. You can of course copy and print any information on your page.
- How do I keep track of all the reservations I make? We recommend that you make send an email to yourself with all your flight info, hotel phone numbers and even copies of your passport, in addition to carrying a hard copy. Then you can simply access your email if something is lost. And/or you can leave a copy of the information with friends or family, who could email it to you if needed. We can post the non-sensitive information (flight numbers, etc) on your Dedicated Page, if you like, but it would be best to keep confirmation numbers, credit card numbers, passport numbers, etc. separate.
- How do I pay? We use PayPal. PayPal allows you to use any credit card or pay directly from your bank.
- How long will it take to get my plan? Up to 30 days, depending on the complexity of the trip. Usually about two weeks.
