“Rustic place on the south coast of Zanzibar. Wonderful, amazing food. I have celiac disease (can’t eat gluten) and the owner, Mama Nila, made some coconut rice bread, just for me! Everything is fresh and exceptionally good, especially compared to what we ate in the rest of Zanzibar. Palm Beach Inn is on a beautiful beach, however it is not totally secluded; you will mix with the locals, some stray dogs and a cow or two strutting along the beach. The room we stayed in was lovely and very inexpensive. Not easy to get into a town, so you are pretty isolated. A memorable stay. Recommended.”
