“A phenomenal view of the great one, Denali herself, from the front porch of your cabin, together with your own propane lantern, fireplace, and personal outhouse when needed. Excellent dining and organized hikes; near Wonder Lake and the end of the 95-mile long Denali Park Road.”

“Chena Hot Springs Resort sits about 60 miles (97 kilometers) east of Fairbanks, Alaska. The main draw to the resort are the natural hot springs pool, where in the winter you can soak outside even when the temperatures drop to -40 (F or C, they’re the same at this temp!). The rooms in the Moose Lodge have great views of the landscape as all the trees are covered in snow and in the frost from the steam from the hot springs.”

Yes, this is a photo taken from a cruise ship. Our primary criteria for posting a photo of a room with a great view, other than the view itself, is that the experience be replicable. If the average traveler can have that same room and expect to have that same view, then the room qualifies.

The view from a room at the Hilton Anchorage.

“The amazing mountains bordering Anchorage were obscured by clouds during most of my stay, but the clouds lifted just enough to see the peaks for a few moments and I was able to catch this view with a 400mm zoom. Fifteen minutes after this photo was taken, the storm moved in again and the mountains stayed hidden for the rest of my stay.”
