“One of my favourite hotels (the staff go the extra mile to be helpful, the bar has a wonderful chilled atmosphere & the Terrace restaurant cooks great fish to order).
The shops on Princess Street & the castle are in easy walking distance and there are lots of bars/restaurants literally next door.
If you wish to go further afield then the train station is approx 15-20 mins walk.”

“(Photo) taken from the excellent Caledonian Hotel. If you ask nicely, the concierge will arrange to have the stops from the hotel windows temporarily removed so you can open them wider. At least they did for me when I took this but I was alone with no children at the time.
The rooms on the Lothian Road side are where you want to be for this kind of view and needless to say, they don’t come cheap!”
