“We spent two nights volunteering at the Elephant park, and had this amazing view from our hut.
The Elephant Nature Park is a true sanctuary, and funds raised through volunteering, sponsorship and merchandise sales go towards purchasing working elephants who are in need of medical treatment or respite. In this way the owners receive compensation for loss of earnings, and the elephants are able to recuperate away from tough logging or stressful tourism work.
The lodgings are basic, but far beyond our expectations for a volunteer program in remote Thailand. We loved it.”
