Rooms With Great Views

“With Zermatt being a reasonably expensive resort, we decided to go for a ‘better value’ hotel, the 2* Hotel Atlanta.
We paid extra for a Matterhorn View, and requested a high floor room. To be honest, we weren’t really expecting great things.
What we got, however, was probably the most amazing view I’ve ever had. Uninterupted views of the Matterhorn, and sweeping views of the whole of Zermatt, with only a few hotels being noticably higher than our balcony.
I ended up taking loads of photos, of which I think this is the best.
The hotel was also very well located for the restaurants and bars, and just a short walk from the railway station.
Note: Definitely request a high floor room, our friends were 2 floors below us, and their view wasn’t anything like as impressive (but still nice).”

“This hotel is one of the best to get a room with a view of the Matterhorn. This
shot was taken at 4am just as the sun came up and clipped the top of the
Matterhorn. It was lucky that I was awake just at the right minute, because this
doesn’t last but a few minutes. “
