The view from a room at the Sutera Harbour Resort.

“This was a deluxe sea view room. Guess it was worth paying a bit extra compared to the deluxe golf course view room.
Pretty nice hotel some two to three kilometers from city centre and not more than 10 mins from the airport.
I liked being close to the city, and still have a bit martime atmosphere. In addition this is a great base for daytrips in Sabah. This is not a classical beach resort – for those you have to be further from town.
Did I already mention that Malaysia is my personal paradise? A less crowded, more “modern” version of Thailand.”

“The harbor in Kota Kinabalu is gorgeous. The service and the facilities at the Hyatt were excellent. They had no trouble accommodating our group, even though we were 26 university students and a handful of professors. There are more pictures here.”
