As if the location of the hotel, in the heart of Sydney’s Rocks, is not good enough, this is the view that may greet you. Watch the sun come up over the Harbour and the Opera House, maybe see a cruise ship pull into Circular Quay.

The view from room 406 of the Grand Mercure Darling Harbour. “I was in Sydney for the Anita Borg Finalist’s retreat, sponsored by Google. The whole trip was all expenses paid but I wasn’t really expecting it to include this kind of view! This photo was taken at around midnight.”

“The best possible view on the harbor and steps away from the Sydney opera house and dozens of ferries to just about anywhere. Very peaceful and private although in the midst of all the action. The Grand Quay had the best in-room dining, staff was amazing, the decor and room layout was up to par. I will definitely return.”
