“Good hotel in a handy location, and a great view. Though you do need to lean out of the window a bit to get the full effect. Looking the other way from this window overlooks the sport stadiums such as Rod Laver Arena, Hisense stadium and the Melbourne Cricket Ground.”

“My wife and I stayed at The Crown Plaza Melbourne for 4 days. The hotel is wonderful from all regards, and the location is truly unique.

The Crown Plaza Melbourne is located on the Yarra River in Melbourne CBD and the river is a marvel in itself, with walkways, urban art, foot bridges and restaurants lining the river, and of course Melbourne’s famous casino – Crown Casino (not related to the hotel!).

The hotel is shaped like a horseshoe jutting out over the river, and oddly is the only structure apart from the bridges which occupies space over the river, all other buildings are set-back including the higher priced hotels. All rooms at the front side face the river and views are expansive over the river district and beyond.

Staying here puts you right at the heart of the action in Melbourne, only moments walk from all the prime attractions of the city.  Couldn’t recommend the hotel more. Hope you get there!”
